The team from the State Property Fund of Ukraine presented Ukraines investment potential at the Ukraine-Japan roundtable in Berlin
In Berlin, the Ukraine-Japan roundtable took place, dedicated to discussing the prospects of cooperation between the two countries. The event was attended by a delegation from the State Property Fund of Ukraine, led by the Chairman Vitaliy Koval.
The team from the State Property Fund presented extensive investment opportunities in Ukraine, including the Land Bank project aimed at developing the agricultural sector through opening up the market for leasing state-owned agricultural land.
During the event, a productive meeting was held with the State Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan Takemura Nobuhide, as well as representatives from leading Japanese agricultural machinery manufacturers Yanmar and Kubota. The outcome of the meeting was the signing of Memorandums of Cooperation.
Participants of the roundtable were greeted with video messages from the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal. The event also saw the participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, and the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Rostyslav Shurma.
The Chairman of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval noted: "We aim to attract advanced Japanese agricultural technology to the Ukrainian market, replacing products from aggressor countries. The implementation of the Land Bank project will significantly increase demand for agricultural machinery since currently in Ukraine, there is four times less of it compared to Poland."
The Ukraine-Japan roundtable served as a significant milestone in strengthening the partnership between the two countries. Joint efforts are directed towards the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine's economy, leveraging Japan's experience and innovations. The event took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, highlighting mutual interest in cooperation. Participants expressed confidence in the further successful development of Ukrainian-Japanese relations.
