In 2022, the state budget lost more than UAH 1.2 billion in rental payments due to the invasion of russia

Due to the russian invasion in 2022, the state budget lost UAH 1.209 billion in rent for state property.

These calculations include payments due from tenants of state property in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Since 2014, the State Property Fund has been regularly recording the amount of rent not received in the Joint Forces Operation area, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Since February 24, 2022, this territory has expanded as a result of the full-scale invasion.

In addition, when calculating the amount of losses, the State Property Fund takes into account the provision of benefits in the form of exemptions from lease payments and discounts of 25-50%. These were established by the Government to support tenants of state property, primarily in the occupied territories and in the combat zone.

"We have to recover all the lost and under-received money from russia in the future. We are also currently developing a strategy for the economic revival of these territories," said Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the SPFU.

In the first quarter of 2023, the State Property Fund added UAH 345.06 million to these calculations.
