Taras Yeleyko has taken part in a webinar on the development of the mining industry

On April 22, 2021, the Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Taras Yeleyko spoke at the international webinar «Development of the Mining Industry in Ukraine». 

The event was also attended by representatives of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, the Canadian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, the American-Ukrainian Business Council, the Investment Promotion Office (UkraineInvest).

During the webinar, Taras Yeleiko informed the participants on the assets of the mining industry, which the State Property Fund of Ukraine is planning to put up on the transparent auctions. As part of a major privatization in the third quarter of 2021, it is planned to hold a privatization auction of JSC «United Mining and Chemical Company».

The company develops titanium-zirconium deposits and produces rutile, ilmenite and zircon concentrates, as well as provides concentrate enrichment services.

«A lot of competition is expected at the UMCC privatization auction - more than 10 participants, including foreign ones, have already shown interest in the company. Thanks to the introduction of new rules, the State Property Fund of Ukraine ensures full disclosure of information and equal access for all,» - said the Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

Among the assets planned for privatization are also peat enterprises, quarries, and other mining enterprises.
