Transparent privatization of bakery plants: a press tour of the SOE «Dunayevetskyi Bakery Plant» took place

As part of preparation for privatization, a press tour was held at the Dunayevetskyi Bakery Plant, a transparent auction of which will take place on May 7.

Representatives of the State Property Fund took journalists on a tour of the object and answered questions within the framework of the organized press conference.

The Dunayevetskyi Bakery Plant will become the first object within the framework of privatization of the range of state bakery plants.

«Privatization of bakery plants is beneficial for everyone: the state will receive revenues to the budget and revitalize economic activity, investors will obtain important assets for business development, local communities will get jobs and development of their areas,» - Vladyslav Danylyshyn, Director of the Privatization Department of the State Property Fund, said during a press tour.

The plant in Dunaivtsi produces products of the flour and cereal industry and animal feed, wholesale trade of grain, unprocessed tobacco, seeds, animal feed, etc.

At one time, bakery plants were one of the key links in the agricultural production process, which was under the state monopoly control. However, with the move to the free market, this asset has become non-core for the state. It is difficult to call successful a significant part of such enterprises but the privatization of these assets can radically change the situation.

The Dunayevetskyi Bakery Plant owns 7 land plots with the total are of 36.8543 ha, and also real estate with the total area over 79 thousand sq. m., including: elevators, bakeries, a mill plant, laboratories and other industrial premises.

There is its own vehicle fleet and railway access tracks, water supply and disposal systems, its own security.

This is a significant potential that can be developed if private investments are attracted to the modernization of the enterprise.

The terms of privatization in particular provide for the preservation of the profile of activity, compliance with the requirements of environmental legislation and the preservation of social guarantees for employees.
