The privatization object is a complex of buildings and structures with a total area of 28,141.7 sq. m and is located in the center at the address: 1, Zaliznychna Street, Kotsyubynskesmall town. The total area of the plots, are occupied by the institution, is 8.3 hectares.
Irpin Correctional Institution ceased its specialized activities on August, 2019. Maintaining of non-activity institutions is unprofitable for the state, as it costs millions of hryvnias annually.
At the same time, the facility has excellent investment potential. A new residential area has been built around it, and a large park is nearby. The distance to the capital's metro station "Akademistechko" is only 6 km. There is a railway branch and Bilychi station nearby, which will allow the new owner to provide excellent logistics.
The facility has water supply and sewerage network, electricity supply is provided by two substations: 700 and 490 kW.
Privatization is taking place within the framework of a joint project of the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which provides for the auctioning of property of 35 non-functioning correctional facilities.
Privatization of "canned" correctional centers will not only save the state losses and become a source of revenue, but will also create modern correctional centers with improved custody conditions and working conditions for staff and a high level of security for society.
