The participants of the working group considered the issues of further activity of SAC “Kherson-Avia” and preparation of the following objects for privatization: PC of SOE “Skadovsk Sea Commercial Port”, SOE “Heroiske Research and Industrial Enterprise” block of shares of OJSC “KCC (Kherson Cotton Combine)”, PC of SOE “Novotroitskyi Elevator”, a state-owned block of shares of 100% of the authorized capital of PJSC “Kherson Plant “Sudmash”. The issue on putting up for leasing of the sanatorium “Gopri” premises was also considered. In particular, it was noted that in the near future OJSC “KCC” and PJSC “Kherson plant “Sudmash” will be put up for privatization auctions.
“Cooperation with local authorities is very important for the State Property Fund, so we appreciate the coordinated cooperation with the Kherson Regional State Administration. After all, we have a common goal - to attract investment into Ukraine's economy and create new workspaces”, Kostiantyn Koshelenko stressed.
By the way, many assets reaching into the Fund in an abandoned condition, often without proper documents. Inefficient use of non-core assets has led either to their destruction over decades or to the illegal use of third parties through corrupt schemes. The only solution is transparent privatization. The State Property Fund creates an investment menu for entrepreneurs and carries out marketing in order to increase competition at auctions to form market prices of objects.
