Taras Yeleyko spoke live about the privatization plans of the State Property Fund for 2021
On February 5, 2021 Taras Yeleyko, Deputy Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, spoke live on Facebook about privatization plans for 2021.
In 2020, the State Property Fund held about 1900 privatization auctions and attracted about UAH 3 billion to the state budget, exceeding the established plan in 6 times. Among the most successful privatization auctions in 2020: Hotel “Dnipro”, “Kyivpasservis”, distillery assets, etc.
“As for the plans for 2021, they are ambitious - the plan of privatization proceeds is UAH 12 billion, which is absolutely realistic if a large-scale privatization is unblocked,” Taras Yeleyko said.
Taras Yeleyko also expressed gratitude to MPs of the Verkhovna Rada who supported in the first reading the draft of law No 4543 on unblocking large-scale privatization – “This year we may have the first large-scale privatization auction in 16 years,” he stressed.
During the live broadcast, participants were provided with information on a number of objects that are being prepared for privatization in the near future, including: distilleryassets, expert-tecnical centers of the State Labor Serviceof Ukraine, separate property of penitentiaries, bakery plants, etc.
“During the first quarter, we plan to put up for privatization about 100 state-owned enterprises in various fields, so we offer an investment menu for every taste. Currently, the objects are being actively prepared: information is being collected, virtual data rooms and teasers are being prepared. Therefore, we invite everyone to the website privatization.gov.ua to get acquainted with the objects of privatization and to participate in transparent auctions”, Taras Yeleyko summed up.
