The State Property Fund initiates the transfer of property that was not included in the authorized capital during privatization, to the management of local state administrations
The State Property Fund of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, initiates the transfer of property that was not included in the authorized capital of companies during the privatization process, to the management of local state administrations. Among them there are more than two thousand housing objects and more than one thousand civil defense buildings.
According to the regulations of Ukraine, the formation and implementation of the State policies in the field of housing and communal services and civil protection of citizens is an unusual function for the State Property Fund and its regional offices. Promoting the decentralization reform and in order to solve the social problems of citizens who cannot exercise the right to privatize housing provided by the legislation of Ukraine, the State Property Fund considers it necessary to transfer functions of housing and buildings of civil protection which are not included in the authorized capital of companiesduring the privatization process,to the regional state administrations management.
As of today, the State Property Fund and its regional offices are preparing documentation for the transferring of the above-mentioned property to the management of local state administrations. It is planned that the first acts of acceptance and delivery of property will be signed in the first quarter of 2021.
“One of the most important functions of the State is the social one. For the very purpose of social protection of citizens who have been wandering in abandoned housing facilities for years, not being able to privatize housing, the State Property Fund initiates the transfer of relevant assets to local state administrations. This step will resolve the uncertain legal status of a number of housing facilities and will be the key to solving acute social problems in the regions. There political will for this projectis available, so in cooperation with the Cabinet of Ministers and local authorities we are starting its implementation”, - Kostiantyn Koshelenko, Deputy Head of the SPFU said.
