Transparent lease: the cost of asset leasing in Kyiv region at an online auction has increased from UAH 16,000 to UAH 1,000,000

On January, 14, it was held the online auction on lease of an awning shed for storage of agricultural machinery, with an area of 379.80 sq. m., with asphalt paving, and an area of 3361.00 sq. m.

The starting price for the object lease, at which it was put up for auction, was UAH 15,919.76. As a result of competitive bidding, in which 4 participants took part, the price of the lot increased more than 62 times - up to UAH 1,000,000.

Under the lease terms, the auction winner receives the asset for rent with the ability to use it for any purpose, including subleasing of the premises.

According to the Procedure on Lease of the State and Communal Property, the winner has 3 working days to sign the protocol and 20 working days to conclude a lease contract from the day following the day of formation of the auction results protocol.

At the same time, the lease contract with the auction winner will be concluded if he pays within the specified period the following payments:

• advance payment in amount of lease payment for 2 months (including VAT);

• security deposit in amount of lease payment for 2 months (excluding VAT).

In total it is UAH 4,400,000.

If the winner does not make these payments, the right to lease the premises will pass to another bidder with the next largest price offer, which is of UAH 200,777.
