A regatta dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the Odessa Yacht Club will take place on July 18

On July 18, 2020, a regatta dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the Black Sea Yacht Club will take place,during which a press conference is planned with the participation of the First Deputy Head of the State Property Fund Leonid Antonenko, the Head of the Regional branch of the State Property Fund Oleksandr Pozdniakov and the Director of the Yacht Club Albert Kabakov.

The program of the event: grand opening, press conference and the start of the festive yacht races.

The Black Sea Yacht Club is a center of sailing, which has two children’s schools, schools for adults, annually held more than 20 regattas in different classes of yachts.

The regatta for the Black Sea Yacht Club Cup will be attended by children in the classes: "Optimist", "Cadet", "420" and adults in the classes: "Finn", "SB20", "Platu 25", catamarans and cruising yachts. For the first time in many years, the legendary "Star" class will take part in Odessa.

In order to preserve the Black Sea Yacht Club in Odessa as a sports facility, the State Property Fund of Ukraine is initiating its transfer to long-term lease instead of privatization.
