Garage in Zakarpattia: Property Price Rises More Than 418-Fold at Auction

 The State Property Fund of Ukraine successfully conducted an online auction via the “Prozorro.Sales” electronic trading system for the privatization of a garage in the city of Tyachiv, Zakarpattia region.

Starting price — UAH 1,794.

Six bidders competed for the right to purchase the property.

As a result of intense competition, the final price rose to UAH 750,250.

Thus, the property’s value increased more than 418 times compared to the starting price.

After full payment, the auction winner will receive a garage with a total area of 33.5 m², consisting of two rooms.

The garage has brick walls, a wooden ceiling, a plank floor, and a slate roof. Its technical condition is satisfactory, but the property requires repairs.

The new owner will be able to renovate the property and use it according to their own needs.

In addition to the final price of the lot, the auction winner will also pay 20% VAT—UAH 150,050 —which will provide additional revenue for the state budget.

Every successful auction proves that even a small state-owned asset can find an investor, be repurposed, and operate more efficiently.
