The State Property Fund of Ukraine and the World Bank Discussed Asset Valuation Reform and Privatization
Vitaliy Kovalenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, and representatives of the World Bank discussed key legislative changes and next steps for reforming the management of state assets.
Valuation of State Assets
Special attention was given to draft law No. 13435, which provides for reforming the asset valuation system, particularly the approaches to determining the value of state-owned companies. Meeting participants discussed the expected changes and their impact on the transparency and efficiency of state property valuation processes.
Privatization and Expanding Opportunities for Investors
Another key topic of the meeting was small-scale privatization. Representatives of the Fund and the World Bank reviewed measures that could help increase the number of successful privatization auctions. In particular, they discussed simplifying and improving procedures, as well as expanding opportunities for the sale of state assets.
Participants also discussed further legislative steps aimed at attracting private capital and creating more favorable conditions for investment in the Ukrainian economy.
The State Property Fund of Ukraine continues to collaborate with the World Bank to improve approaches to state asset management, advance privatization, and establish transparent rules for investors
