The State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of training of valuers
On March 4, the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which opens a new stage in the development of the system of training of appraisers in Ukraine.
The document envisages the creation and development of a modern program of basic qualification training for assessors. Its goal is to form a new quality of the profession, taking into account the challenges of wartime, post-war reconstruction and the growing role of Ukraine in international judicial processes.
The Memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Dmytro Natalukha, and the President of NaUKMA, Serhiy Kvit.
The preparation of this initiative was carried out with the participation of the Deputy Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Natalia Panova, who coordinates the valuation direction in the Fund.

Assessment as a tool for recovery
Today, property valuation plays a crucial role in the country's recovery and ensuring economic justice. The results of the valuation are used to determine the damage caused by Russian aggression, create a register of damages, prepare evidence for international court proceedings, as well as in privatization, lease and management of sanctioned property.
The State Property Fund of Ukraine is already providing for the review of reports on the determination of losses for strategic enterprises and critical infrastructure facilities, including NEK Ukrenergo, Ukhrydroenerho, Tsentrenerho, NDSL Okhmatdyt, defense industry enterprises and seaports.
The international dimension of the profession
Reports by Ukrainian assessors are already being used as evidence in the courts of London and other international jurisdictions. Ukraine is also implementing large-scale projects to assess the damage caused by the war, including losses to agricultural and industrial enterprises.
Joint educational initiative
The Memorandum envisages the development of a new training program for appraisers, which will combine the academic potential of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and the practical experience of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
The programme will focus on developing modern professional competencies, strengthening the practical component of learning and training specialists capable of working according to international standards.
The signing of the Memorandum should be a step towards the formation of a new generation of assessors who will ensure the quality of professional assessment and strengthen the institutional capacity of the state during the reconstruction of Ukraine.
