SPFU team met with the Minister of Education and Science, common position is that non-core assets should be privatized

The team of the State Property Fund, headed by Vitaliy Koval, held a working meeting with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi. The key topic of discussion was the transfer of non-core assets from the Ministry to the SPFU for further privatization.

Vitaliy Koval emphasized: "Premises and SEs that have not been used for 3 years should be put up for privatization. With the use of transparent mechanisms for finding investors, we can create a successful working business that creates new jobs and generates profits, which pays taxes to support the Defense Forces."

During the meeting, the parties agreed to create a unified policy for the use of non-core property in the education sector, particularly in the country's regions. In addition, they discussed the need to develop incentive mechanisms for the transfer of property that is not used for educational purposes and changes in regulations in line with modern requirements.

In the future, the agencies will join forces to discuss each facility separately. An individual approach, assessment of needs and demand is important here.
