The Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain
Today, the first meeting of the Fund's team with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Ukraine, led by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain, took place. During the meeting, the Chairman of SPFU, Vitaliy Koval, presented the opportunities offered by the Fund to potential investors.
Vitaliy Koval informed about the typical areas of activity such as leasing and privatization of real estate. Together with foreign partners, they considered objects for large-scale privatization, such as the Hotel "Ukraine", located in the center of the capital, and the Odessa Portside Plant.
The Chairman of the Fund emphasized, "We continue to seek resources to fill Ukraine's budget. We are talking about both internal and external assets, about cooperation with Ukrainian businesses and foreign investors. Today, every hryvnia is important because it goes to support the Armed Forces."
He also noted that new projects, but interesting for foreign businessmen, are the Land Bank and working with sanctioned property. They also discussed insurance against military risks for businesses separately, along with potential mechanisms from our partners.
The Deputy Chairman of the SPFU, Ihor Tymoshenko, provided more details about the new direction of the Fund's activities – Land Bank. He noted that previously, land was managed by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences and various ministries. Today, the aim is for land to contribute to the Ukrainian economy and generate income for the state budget. He emphasized that foreign investors will also be able to lease land plots. Therefore, the Fund is interested in the activity of private businesses in this direction. In particular, in July-August of this year, we expect the start of auctions.
In turn, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain assured of the interest of Indian businesses to invest. Ambassador Harsh Kumar Jain is ready to distribute the investment proposals of the Fund's team among interested investors.
He also noted that each proposal is interesting and requires further study. Today, India is expanding trade cooperation, so many companies are ready to enter the international market.
