The value of assets at privatization auctions has increased almost fivefold - the weekly results from the State Property Fund (SPFU)

The value of assets offered at privatization auctions by the State Property Fund increased by 4.9 times to 57.6 million UAH during the current week. From October 16th to October 20th, 71 entrepreneurs participated in 12 auctions on the Prozorro.Sale platform.

“The SPF’s privatization auctions are a great opportunity to start your own business or expand an existing one. On average, six entrepreneurs competed for each asset this week. Their victory means additional taxes, jobs, and technology for the economy,” emphasized Serhii Symonov, Deputy Chairman of the SPFU.

The most successful auction of the week was the privatization of a warehouse-module in the center of Kyiv. Seven entrepreneurs competed for the asset, and the final value increased by 3.7 times to 35 million UAH. In addition to the winning bid, the investor must pay 7 million UAH in VAT (20% of the price). The asset is located in the Podil district of the capital, near Hlybochytska Street and SichovykhStril’tsivStreet.

The second most successful auction of the week was the privatization of a woodworking enterprise in Volyn. Eight entrepreneurs competed for the asset located in the city of Volodymyr. The winner offered 20 million UAH, which is 9.7 times higher than the starting price of the object. He must also pay 4 million UAH in VAT.

In total, since the beginning of 2023, the SPFU has conducted 323 auctions on Prozorro.Sale (in which winners have either paid for the offered assets or payment is expected). These auctions saw the participation of 1,609 participants, meaning an average of five entrepreneurs competed for state assets.
